Brainfood of the day

Yesterday an old faily friend cae to visit , Suzy for annual turkey dinner.She is an old bandidos and is like an old dictionary. Yesterday she told me about Sekem.This is a community raised from the desert in the 70's established by Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish.Today its a fertile land that grows ecoligical and non chemical food and cotton.The community has theyre own school,kindergarten and hospital.It is also a huge distributer of medecine, especially against cancer.I cant tell it in full but you can read more about it on www.sekem.com.

Kangaroo who?

This is a shoe project we did for Kangaroo shoes.I based my shoe on childes games and elementary colours.It has a small pocket in the tounge and a rolling dice :) It was great to get picked out as a part of a group of potential winners.

Platypus

Yesterday I met my friend Kristoffer who hadnt been able to sleep and stumbled upon a report about the Platypus. As a designer and student I sometimes feel I dont get enough knowledge so I have sworn that Im going to buy national geographics more and watch the news everynight,instead of every know and again when I have time. When my friend could inflighten me about this lovely little creature it was to my great delight and I realised that we have one thing in common : Platypuses can consume their own body weight in food in a 24 hour period,something I have been doing all christmas :D

After buying my first pair of wellies five years ago its finally time that they get a rest and I can buy a new pair with my xmas money. It wasnt as easy as I thought when I got to the shop and found all these great styles.Love the red laced ones.These are perfect in snow and rain with theyre warm lining and just for jumping in puddles.

On my music list this Christmas is John Olav Nilsen & Gjengen.This is a local band from my home town Bergen that sing in the local dialect the most charming songs.One of my favourite are Diamanter og Kirsebær and Ikkje fåkk med kjærligheten ( Diamonds & cherries and dont fuck with love). I love this photo as its taken by the same funfair that comes to Bergen every easter and never changes.Here is a link to theyre song dont fuck with love....

My Granny is heading for the bright lights of Vegas

Sunshine,music,ants and great summer with the gang.Our nick names Grannies came after many a nights out and staggering home.Yesterday she left for San Diego for 6 months and is celebrating New Years Eve at MGM in Las Vegas.Wish they made human sized suitcases :)

Will miss my Granny but hope to visit her and yet again go festivaling at Cochella

After a trip to our local design school in Kolding I purchased two lovely perspex rings.I used to love rings,but stopped wearing them after I was about twelve. Im so happy about my rings nad after finding these I think there is no turning back :D

Here is the shoe that I designed for the Viva La Diva project.I was lucky to be one of the winners and the shoe will be sold on theyre website from Januray.Exciting :)
